Working together to end domestic violence and abuse.

Calan DVS is delighted to announce that we were the winners of the Good Governance category at the WCVA Third Sector Awards Cymru last night.

Calan DVS attended the awards ceremony at The Marriott hotel in Cardiff last night, on January 29th, among a whole host of other wonderful charities and nominees. Our CEO Rhian Bowen-Davies was there to accept the award for Calan, along with our Chair, trustees and members of the leadership team. We are delighted to be given this award, and believe it goes to show the incredible hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes at Calan DVS.

Calan DVS were also nominated for an award in the Best Communications category, but were named runners up behind worthy winners Communications 2.0, and Dementia Friends.

Other winners from the night include, Fare Share Cymru, who won the Environmental Award, Gofal y Ddolen Community Support Services, winners of the Health, Social care, and Well-being Award, Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association Youth Team for Innovative Fundraising, and the wonderful people at the Ethnic Youth Support Team in Swansea came away with the Most Admired Organisation Award.

It was a great evening, and it was humbling to see the room full of so many amazing and inspirational organisations. Congratulations to all the nominees.
