Children who are living with us in our refuges had an extra treat when we were given free tickets for the Odeon cinema by Kids Out (The fun and happiness charity).
The children voted to go and see “Finding Dory” and they loved it!!
The film had plenty of comic thrills and some fun new characters, it is billed as a comic-drama and there were plenty of laughs but there were some parts of the film that tugged at the heart strings. Happily, the children’s minds were taken off any sad bits by the FREE ice cream that the staff at the Odeon gave to them.
Georgia (CYP worker) stated that just a short trip to the cinema, makes such a difference. Not only does it give the Mums a couple of hours to themselves, but also distracts the children, even if its just for a short time, from what they are experiencing.
