The Welsh Government has published a new National Strategy that set out how they are planning to continue to tackle Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence – 2016 to 2021.
The aim of this campaign is to create a culture that challenges abusive behaviour as everyone has the right to live fear free.
The strategy states that:
“Gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence can include all kinds of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and can occur within all kinds of intimate relationships, including same sex relationships.
“We are committed to protecting and supporting victims of such violence and abuse and work with enforcing agencies to ensure perpetrators are held accountable for what they do and provided appropriate help.”
