Calan DVS has appointed Rachael Eagles as our new Chief Executive.
Rachael has been acting as interim CEO since December of last year whilst the recruitment process for our new head has been underway.
Rachael has more than 10 years’ experience working at a strategic, senior level for both voluntary and private sector organisations across the UK. This experience includes the recent position of Managing Director at the West Wales Domestic Abuse Service. She is also a trustee of Welsh Women’s Aid.
In her role as Calan’s CEO, Rachael will provide continued strategic direction and leadership to the organisation to ensure that it continues to provide professional and appropriate services for individuals, families and communities across Wales. Commenting on her appointment Rachael said, “I am absolutely delighted and very excited to take on this role. I can't wait to work with such an experienced and skilled team of staff and Trustees at Calan. I am passionate about the services that Calan DVS provides and am excited about building on the already solid foundations and reputation to raise the issues surrounding domestic violence, providing support and services to those affected, particularly children, and playing an important role in shaping national, regional and local policies and strategies.”
Rachael will be supporting the Calan DVS team to ensure the continuation of a culture of professionalism, quality, delivery and performance to meet the needs of service users.
