Freelance Assessor Wanted

Location- Bridgend

£20 per hour

Calan DVS are seeking freelance qualified assessors who are passionate and enthusiastic to deliver a range of  Agored Cymru Qualifications and Modules  in a wide range of different subject areas, to individuals who are economically inactive. Course will be delivered at: Level 1 and Level 2.

The Organisation  

Calan DVS are looking to recruit to join their dedicated charity to ending domestic violence and abuse. You’ll join a thriving organisation that is committed to providing sanctuary, inspiring change and helping people to live free from domestic abuse. 

The Project

The project has been supported by the European Social Fund through Welsh Government which   Calan DVS has called “LIFE” Living in Freedom Everyday, we  aim  to support young people aged 18-24 who are NEET, using flexible pre-vocational training skills, activities and workshops, back to work support, specifically designed to provide a progression route to young people. Including education, skills training,  qualifications, voluntary work, employment, and self-employment.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in the design, development and implementation of training programmes

Work alongside training Managers and wider team members to ensure the successful delivery of training programmes that meet the specific requirements of the organisation

Reviewing, evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of the inductions and training programmes

Amend programmes in a consultative manner to adapt to the changes occurring in the work environment

Comply with the organisations policies and procedures on projects and programmes

About You

To join Calan’s team you will have:

  • Experience gained within a qualified assessor/tutor role
  •   A PGCE qualification or equivalent.

Fluency in Welsh, in addition to English, would be beneficial to your application. Experience of working in the voluntary sector would be an advantage.

Other organisations may call this position a Qualified Tutor/Assessor.
